Porsche China & North America Production Facilities to Kick Off Soon

Published by on Jan 20th, 2011, No Comments

Following realization that Porsche’s current assembly plants in Zuffenhausen, near Stuttgart, and Leipzig are too small to meet their high demands, the company is now looking to start production from North America and China. The plan is aimed at hitting the predicted global sales of 200,000 units.

Artist Rendering: The new Skoda Octavia 3

Published by on Jun 18th, 2009, 1 Comment

The last edition of the Skoda Octavia was 2004 and a newer version is due out, this year. Skoda’s best offering, Octavia is probably going to switch from the VW Golf Mk 5 platform, with a new engine and transmission choices coming along with the new styling  — this time based on the Mk6 platform and bigger than it’s predecessor. The new Skoda Octavia 3 which we have in here is mostly in the artist’s head, but there can be seen a little bit of the Skoda Joyster with wider grille, spoiler, and thin-strip fog lights. Like it? Skoda Octavia RS+ Concept gets a complete facelift

Published by on Dec 4th, 2008, No Comments

The Skoda Octavia RS+ on display at Essen has received a complete makeover on the exterior from the car makers, while the engine under the hood still remains the 200hp 2.0-litre turbo engine and the 2.0 TDI of 170hp. The new and sporty RS+ at the German show, came with a host of changes to the exterior like the black alloy wheels, black interior housing, front spoiler and the rear black diffuser. The interiors have been revamped using shades of black and a tinge of red with bucket-seats, door panels and triple-coated leather steering wheel, all shining with a new glow. The RS+ in its new incarnation truly looks a lot more and trendy than the more brazen earlier version.

Skoda Octavia Gets a Facelift and New 1.4 TSI

Published by on Sep 30th, 2008, No Comments

It’s been a while since we haven’t heard anything about Skoda Octavia, but I’m happy to see that they’re finally getting a facelift rolled out, and yes it’s official even though it’s ahead of the Paris Motor Show world premier. However, the facelift isn’t significant because the 2009 model is only getting a new hood and some new headlamps (that I don’t like very much).

Other than the new front design, the new Octavia will feature a new generation of three and four-spoke steering wheels, navigation system controls, new materials and new colors for the seats and the lining of the door panels. One of the best news however, is the new turbocharged 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine that develops 122 hp. Lovely! – via

Prototype: Skoda Fabia S2000

Skoda Fabia Super 2000

That’s the first thing I can say when I look at that picture above. Skoda is ready to enter the Super 2000 Rally category with its new prototype version of Fabia 2. Dubbed Skoda Fabia S2000 it’s not only looking very aggressive but it IS very aggressive. It has a in-line 4 cylinders naturally aspirated 2.0L engine, a 6-speed sequential transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.

Believe me, the new Fabia S2000 is really something that would convince me to consider buying a Skoda vehicle. Looks great. By the way doesn’t it look a little like a Mini? What do you think?

New Skoda Superb in 2008 at Geneva

Published by on Dec 12th, 2007, No Comments

The big whale in Skoda’s yard, Superb, is getting an upgrade next year and rumors say we may see the new looks at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The picture below is not a live model but a rendering image and all I can say is that I like it this time. It’s not that Passat-alike and it has some BMW flavor on that redesigned front.

Skoda Superb 2008 - rendering

The first time I’ve heard of the new Superb model was back in November when Skoda announced they finished hot-weather testings in the US and release a few photos and some technical data like the 1.8-liter TSI engine that sports 160bhp.
The Geneva Motor Show will start on March 6th, so if you want a picture of a live model, you’d better stay close.
