Lamborghini Reventon Roadster unveiled for Select Clients

Published by on Jul 30th, 2009, 2 Comments

It is still a speculation, but nonetheless exciting — Lamborghini will unveil an ultra-exclusive Reventon Roadster but sadly this lacks a confirmation from the Italian automaker. With Ferrari unveiling the Italia 458, this could be a real fun competition to follow. It’s difficult to get concrete here as even the roadster version booked for a whopping €1.1 million by some also hangs in the balance.

Today’s unveiling though is only meant for select clients which will be surely some special ones as only 20 of these are slated to be produced. The engine and gear transmission configuration is also not known and what is being associated is that the initial intentions were to produce a LP670-4SV Roadster but the engine issues have reformed it into a Reventon Roadster.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster

If the economic downturn has left you with piles of cash that you don’t know what to spend on, you should know that a new Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster is going to be produced in a 50-units limited production. Although we only have a leaked image with the car, we do know it features a flamboyant Grigio Telesto exterior that adds orange touches to a dark grey body work. With a beefed up engine that is nothing but a speculation for the moment (maybe Reventon’s 6.5-liter V12 engine?), the car is nothing short of breathtaking. We’d love to see it roaring on the floor in Geneva next month. [via l]

Rumored Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 SV

Published by on Jan 8th, 2009, No Comments

The most interesting thing about Lambos is that they look so hot and they’re so fast. But what happens when you’re already top notch? Well it looks like Lamborghini has been secretly working on a Murcielago LP640-4 SVversion that should be lighter and more powerful, going from 0 to 60mph in an amazing 3.2 seconds. Though there aren’t any big styling changes, the new Murcielago SV should pack some new air vents, a larger bumper and a lavish interior built in Alcantra leather. Expected to be showcased in Geneva or in New York this year, the amazing supercar should cost some 25% more than the original LP640. We’re not worried though, the sheiks will definitely afford it. The weekend that just passed was a good one for Lamborghini because they’ve just announced the Blancpain Super Trofeo at Hockenheim, in Germany.

It’s actually a racing series that will run in the FIA GT Championship, DTM, and FIA WTCC series featuring some Gallardo LP560-4 goodies and only deep-pocketed private owners (costs €200,000), dealer teams and a single, Lambo-sponsored “celebrity driver”, will get their hands on the steering wheel of the Super Trofeo.

Just some quick specs to see what you’re missing it packs a race-specific chassis adjustments, ABS brakes and wheels with Pirelli slicks, aero tweaks while under the hood, a “little” 5.2L direct-injected V10 monster sends 570 horses to all four wheels thatnks to the e.gear six-speed sequential gearbox. We’ll see it starting next May @ Silverstone. WICKED!!!

Don't Rent a Lambo if You Plan to Crash It

Published by on Aug 7th, 2008, 3 Comments

Whenever I rent a car I always try to take good care of it no matter what I’m driving. It’s someone else’s car and for some money they allow me drige it. It’s common sense to make sure I stay on the road and the car doesn’t get injured. That’s not what a group of late 20’s Asian men thought.

They were all invited to a wedding and decided to drive supercars (all rented). Since bragging about speed and drinking are not the best friends of a driver, they all felt brave and immediately left the ceremony, for what? To race of course! I’m pretty sure you’ve already seen the photo so not sure if it needs any more comments. The idiots crashed the Lamborghini in a tree, and then fled.

Doesn’t it sound like fun? I’m dying to know what happened when these guys had to return their rented supercars. Will they have to pay anything for the damages or for DUI ?

Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 VersaceRoadster

Published by on Jul 16th, 2008, 2 Comments

Versace and Lamborghini have been collaborating since 2006 and have recently launched their LP640 Versace Roadster at the Maison’s Via Gesu 12 in Milan last month. The package is available through Lamborghini’s “ad personam” customization program which allows clients to personalize their sports cars, to their satisfaction.

This limited edition Lamborghini is enhanced with its black and pastel white leather clad seats finished with the Versace Greek key motif stitching.

The control panel as well as the central console and door panels is clad in full grain soft nappa leather which is completed by the hand embroided Versace Geek motif .

For the first time the LP640 is equipped with a transparent engine hood displaying the V12 engine. This minimalism design of the hood inspired Versace to design a full range of accessories which will be made available at their boutiques and selected Lamborghini showrooms by November 2008.

The accessories include: a trolley bag, sports bag, gloves, driving shoes, wallets and keyrings amongst many others all boasting the Lamborghini and Versace logos.
