Lamborghini Ankonian Concept Supercar

lamborghini ankonian 2

Designer Slavche Tanevsky is the guy guilty for coming up with this amazing & aggressive concept car. Dubbed Lamborghini Ankonian, the vehicle is meant as an upgrade to the famous Lamborghini Reventon and continues with the stealth fighter jet inspiration (already becoming a habit for the Italian manufacturer) for coming out with a pimped version of a Batmobile. Make it a radar-evasive car and take it to the production lines, that’ll make our day. [via ]

Glad this didn't happen to me: Italian Police Gallardo smashed

Published by on Dec 2nd, 2009, No Comments

What you see in the above picture is what happens when you “clip” a Seat coming out of a gas station at an undisclosed speed and smash into a row of parked cars.

At least that’s what the Italian Police wants you to believe. The crash took place after the driver of the vehicle attended a function at night promoting safe driving. Oh the irony of it all.

It was also driven by one of 20 Italian Policemen that were trained to handle the power of the Gallardo for chasing bad guys.

But I smell a rat. I think what more than likely happened was something more like this –

Glad this didn't happen to me: Murcielago smashes into pavement

Back in the late 80’s Lamborghini built a vicious 4×4 called the LM002. It had the V12 from the Countach upfront and as you can imagine with that sort of power was an incredible vehicle offroad. It would have easily been able to venture off the tarmac and onto curbs, straight over them and not really getting damaged in the process.

The Murcielago not so much. This one smashed into a curb and lost it’s passenger side front wheel.

Glad this didn’t happen to me.

Lamborghini Gallardo by Underground Racing

Underground Racing have been quite busy lately, this time modifying a Lamborghini Gallardo. Ordered by a person named Jonah, the modified Gallardo can produce the impressive 1500 horsepower running on VP C16 racing fuel. It’s worth mentioning that the model loses a lot of the engine’s original power by the time it’s reached the tires – an estimated 25% for this vehicle, which means that the original produced power may go up to 1900 HP! When testing the car, Jonah took the quarter mile on the track in under 10 seconds, coming in at a little over 160 mph. Even though, from his words, it’s been a while since he’s took her to the track, he still managed to bring out the beast in this already respectable car.

Chrome Finished Lamborghini Murcielago Looks …

You have a Lamborghini Murcielago in the garage, but the little beast doesn’t stand out as you’d like. Well here’s a little something to use as inspiration. Apparently somewhere in London (we’d expect to see it either in Russia or Dubai to be honest), this Murcielago has been covered with an adhesive foil/wrap with chrome finish. Definitely makes cleaning hard but the result is an eye catching little monster. What do you think? [via ]

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 620 YarroW by Wheelsandmore

The wicked tuners from Wheelsandmore are out at it again to prove their creativity and this time around the guys got their hands on a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 620 that they called YarroW. With an added ECU tampering, a carbon airbox and a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, the little monster has been upgraded to output 620 little horsies and 580 lb-ft of torque (785 Nm).

With that much power under the hood, there’s need for a beefed-up braking system  with 8-piston calipers fitted  on the front wheels and 6-piston calipers for the rear, and an upgraded suspension with a special coil over that lifts (hydraulic, of course) up to 1.77 inches. But the Gallardo tuning kit wouldn’t be complete without some exterior changes. That’s why Wheelsandmore have added a set of stylish 20-inch wheels with 3-piece forged rims available in multiple colors.

So how about prices? The engine tuning is 12,500 Euro, the braking system about 14,000 Euro, the suspension will cost an additional 9,000 Euro, with rather expensive wheels at 11,400 Euro.

Lamborghini Estoque Concept Spotted

Published by on Sep 30th, 2009, 4 Comments

The Lamborghini Estoque a four-door concept — which was first spotted at last years Paris Motor Show — was a dumped project because of the credit crunch. However, this March, Lamborghini have confirmed that the four-door concept wasn’t axed but only yet to be decided when it will be produced. Adding to the confusion mill, a new Lamborghini Estoque Concept has been spotted in Germany without license plates. As per the company officials, the four-door would fit in well with their current product line-up, meaning that there is still hope we might see this beauty on the streets. We’d definitely like to get behind the wheel on that elegant beast! [via ]
