The special edition of the Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson has been unwrapped. Recognizable by its six-bar grille, tinted headlights, exterior graphics and 22-inch aluminum wheels, the model comes in tuxedo black or white platinum tri-coat colours.

Ford has unveiled the new 2011 Harley-Davidson F-150 which combines the smooth handling and durability of America’s best-selling trucks with the authentic styling of Harley-Davidson. It comes with a standard V8 6.2-liter gasoline engine, which debuted earlier this year on the F-150 SVT Raptor. The new engine delivers 411 bhp (306 kW) and 434 lb-ft (588 Nm) of torque, making it the most powerful and capable Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 ever offered. It provides a maximum trailer towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.

With financial markets going (only) down and customers considering smaller cars that consume less, it’s surprising to see that Ford is introducing their 14th Harley Davidson F-series pickup. With a stylish unique exterior that includes a new grille with slim horizontal chrome bars and 22-inch wheels outfitted with low-profile performance tires, the 2010 Ford F150 Harley Davidson Edition features a unique exterior that charms you on a first glympse. Painted in a Tuxedo Black and a new deep maroon called Lava, there’s an elegant Harley Davidson interior with red and black leather seating that makes for an exclusive experience. And there’s a monster under the hood; a 5.4-liter V8 engine that produces 320 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. Expected to rock at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show, the truck has a starting price of $40,000.

Harley-Davidson quietly launches XR1200 in US

There’s nothing official yet, but rumors say that Harley-Davidson quietly launched the XR1200 bike in the US. First intended for the European market, the guys at HD never ruled out the option of selling it in the United States, too, but only if the demand proved to be strong. And that’s exactly what happened. At least one dealership in Westminster California is taking preorders and what you should know is that you only have till December 15 if you want to be on the list. The rumored prices for the orange XR1200 in the US is going to be $11,179. – via
