Published by on Apr 28th, 2009, No Comments

Spying up on a 2010 Audi RS5 has to be a real adventure. I mean imagine that you should chase that monster on a highway … Yes, I know, it sounds hard. Due to be launched next year in July, the two-doors sports car has been found doing circles at Nürburgring. And it was wearing a stylish new retractable rear spoiler. With a rumored 4.2-litre V8 engine paired to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG gearbox, the new RS5 is expected to output a good 450hp (331kW), to feature quattro AWD and a set of two massive oval tailpipes for an amazing “roaring” sound and a tinge of agressiveness. Looks like a winner all the way down, don’t you think? [ via ]

Sneak Peak: Audi RS5 Spied heads to Nürburgring for testing

Published by on Mar 31st, 2009, 2 Comments

It seems that these days the first look that we are getting of the big, fancy cars is when they are still on testing tracks and long way away from release. Coming from Nürburgring, Germany, the spy pictures of the Audi RS5 reveal the small rear spoiler integrated into the boot, wide fenders, two massive oval tailpipes. And big air intakes at the front, pointing towards an engine that needs its fair share of fresh air and apparently is making quite a beautiful sound as it races across the RS5! At this point it looks like the RS5 will be powered by a 4.2-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine which could have an output of around 450hp. The car is scheduled for release in July 2010, so its release could not be too far away. [via ]

Audi R8 is pretty badass on itself, but not for the wicked tuners from Wheelsandmore. The 13,998 euros tuning package adds a compressor to the whole deal, making the beast pump nothing less than 530 horsepower. If all these are not enoguh and you still have more of those hard earned greenies, Wheelsandmore will add an aluminum race suspension for 3,999 euros or a 8,949-euro hydraulic lift full-race suspension, a 5,500 euro front lip spoiler and rear diffuser (carbon fiber) and two sets of 20-inch alloy wheels ranging from 9,250 to 9,800 euro. ABT AS5-R Ready For Geneva

Published by on Feb 17th, 2009, No Comments

Based on the powerful Audi S5, the wicked German folks from ABT Sporstline – the largest tuner of vehicles from the VW group, came out with their own version. Dubbed ABT AS5-R, they beefed up the eight-cylinder standard 4.2 liter V8 (that used to output 354hp) to deliver nothing less than a whopping 510 horsepower and also added a breathtaking bodywork kit that screams power. We won’t be able to see it running the streets any time soon, but expect to get behind the wheel if you happen to be in Geneva for the Auto Show next month. Looks like an amazing ride, that we’d gladly take on. [via ]

Audi A4 Allroad Quattro

Published by on Feb 16th, 2009, No Comments

Geneva is going to be BIG this year. Another car that is expected to rock the floor at the International Auto Show in March, is the new Audi A4 allroad quattro. Sporting a unique grille, a restyled rear bumper and roof rails, the aggresive wagon runs on three engine options – 211 hp 2.0-liter TFSI, 170hp 2.0-liter TDI or 240hp 3.0-liter TDI, all mated to a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Germans really managed to outdone themselves this time, and we definitely think the 2010 Audi A4 Allroad Quattro will soon follow the success of its older brother, the A6. Looks like a great ride, don’t you think? [via ]

Audi Q5 – Prices For The US Market Emerge

Published by on Feb 9th, 2009, No Comments

Scheduled to be available in the US dealerships starting next week, we managed to find out how much the new Audi Q5 will cost. And although it’s only for the US market, we can definitely get the idea … The base model will start from $37,200 (plus $825 destination/delivery/tax), the Premium Plus starts at $41,500 while the Prestige goes up sky from $48,200. Based on the A4 platform, Q5 is a long-wheelbase crossover vehicle that plans to take on BMW’s X3. It has an 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, so you better be saving some money if that suits you. We’d definitely want to get behind the wheel for a bit.

Audi S3, Becomes Boehler Concept BS3

Published by on Feb 2nd, 2009, 2 Comments

Based on an Audi S3, O.CT Tuning built their own version and named it Boehler Concept BS3. The three-door hatch they came out with, has a slightly modified exterior with widened rear fenders, rear bumper with better aerodynamics, a rear air diffuser, an improved air intake system, 8-piston brakes with 372mm discs and a new sport exhaust system with stainless steel tailpipes. But there are also engine tweaks that make it at least one second faster than the standard S3, thanks to a powerplant that outputs 328hp (241kW) and maximum torque of 425Nm. Only 100 units will be built, so if you like it better have €67,000 (US$86,100) to shell out for it (base price). [via ]
